University of Michigan Transfer- Winter 2020

I know I asked before and I’m sorry to ask again but is anyone else being asked for their “in progress grades” through enrollment connect?

I haven’t. Where would you check for that?

I didn’t get asked on my enrollment connect.

It’s the first box and it says “action items” and underneath for me it says “resolve and required documents” I’m just interested/confused why no one else is asked for their “in progess grades”?! I hope someone gets their decision soon!!

I dont have that either mine says no more actions required at this time

is umich open on columbus day? like is there a possibility we’ll here back tomorrow (monday) ??

Can someone chance me? I am EXTREMELY nervous (just like I am sure some of you are)

Thanks!!!

anyone know if more people tend to be accepted for the winter semester vs the fall semester ???

Isn’t it a good thing that they are asking for your midterm report? Meaning they are considering to accept you?

@kmalin they said it’s about the same ratio and that being a winter semester admit isn’t easier than being a fall in fact is could be more difficult since there are less spots due to the high retention rate from fall.

anyone hear anything ?

I’m so surprised by the fact that it’s been over 2 weeks and no one seems to have gotten a decision. Hopefully soon guys !

FWIW, UMich is on Fall Break yesterday and today. So while admins may be working, no classes have been held.

Hey all, I’m currently a sophomore at UMich so if anyone has questions, feel free to ask!

oh man, just realized this is winter thread and yall have already submitted your apps lol oops. Well, best of luck!

Hi, I also applied for Winter semester. How much does having a UM professor writing a letter of rec help your application? I’m hoping it helps my chances, just don’t know how much.

I did some digging on the umich admissions website and found that all the admissions councilors are currently out of office traveling for recruitment events. This goes on until October 30th, so that should explain the delay in everyone hearing back.

(not saying that’s not true) but if that is the case, then why would some people be asked for their midterm grades? also, in other cc threads from the winter terms in the past, a lot of people started to hear back by the second week in october; people also heard back about fiveish days after the deadline as well.

It will boost your chances because of its credibility. But I won’t put hope in it will improve your chances by a lot just because it is from a UofM professor. Their decision will alternately be based heavily on your GPA and standardized tests (aka the letter won’t save you if you have a low GPA).

I think it is better to wait for now. There is not much we can do since we don’t have enough information. Plus the decisions are not going to change whether they review them now or later, so whatever.
