University of Michigan Transfer- Winter 2020

For any of you guys that have Jenna McCormick: I emailed her just now about how long it should take us to hear back, and I got an email back saying that she is out of office until the 28th.

has anyone heard back

Havenā€™t heard anything yet. Iā€™m guessing no one else has to. If any one wants to chance me, I applied last winter for fall and got rejected for not having all my pre-reqs transfer from LCC (Confirmed that with my advisor, I applied for meteorology in the CoE). Transferred to WCC to get the credits, and rolled over my app. I have a ~3.1 pre-req gpa. My app was rolled over in August in completed in early September. Hope we all hear back soon and get in!

Hi everyone! I talked to the UM transfer rep again today. He said that we should be hearing back around Halloween time!

any chance some decisions gets released tonight ?

@stitch12345 I hope so. Its so weird because some people who applied last semester heard back around this time.

Who applied for LSA?

I applied for LSA winter transfer last year as well and got my decision oct 25th

I rolled over my application for LSA and Iā€™m assuming that I will hear back before people who newly applied because they already have notes in my folder Also, other years the people who rolled their applications over had heard first, but I have not heard anything.

I also rolled my application over and still have not hear anything back.

Same thing for me tooā€¦ still waiting

I hope some people hear back today

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could chance me.

College GPA: 3.94
Credits: 36 total, 24 transferable. I will have 50 transferable credits and an associateā€™s degree by the time I transfer.
College: In-state CC
High School GPA: 1.9
Essays: A U of M Transfer rep said my Essays were great.
Letters or rec: 2 Professors and my high school vice-principal.
Extra-Curricular: Honors program member, I occasionally volunteer.

I am mostly worried about my high school record. In high school, I had significant circumstances that prevented me from doing well, and my essays explain what went on. I fear that I may not have enough transferable credits to outweigh my poor high school record.

Any feedback would be much appreciated!

@Maylol I think you have a good shot!! Youā€™ve improved a lot and I think they will take that into consideration!
With that said I had 1.5 gpa in high school with no good reason and had a rough start in college because of health reasons but anyways I have a 3.8 from community college and was accepted!! However I think it also depends which school you apply to and what the competition looks like.

@ImBlue did you apply for winter 2020 and heard back ?

@leejackie99 I applied Spring 2020 and heard from the director of the program last Wednesday that I was accepted!! She said I should officially hear from the school in 2 weeks because they are transitioning to a new platform

@ImBlue Congrats thats exciting!!

Congrats!
