University of Notre Dame Early Action 2009!

I live in Mass, and just received a letter from Purdue (today), which was sent Friday. Two-three days is all it took, so anything mailed by tomorrow should arrive, Thursday Friday or Saturday, which is what everyone else is indicating.

i live in plano, texas and i’m hoping to get a letter before the morning of the 20th because i leave the 20th until the 31st and im going to be so upset if it doesn’t arrive until the afternoon of the 20th because then i’ll have to wait 11 more days!! i’m really anxious… i hope we all get in!

i’m another girl in chicago, so i’m thinking our proximity to ND may mean we’ll get letters tomorrow?

mann good luck!!

i think they are sending them tomorrow/notifying internationals via email. we will all get our decisions in the mail in a couple days

I’m in Chicago and i’m the definition of a borderline applicant lol 32 ACT, average GPA and EC’s =] I think chicago should get them by wednesday

Tomorrow is supposed to be the busiest day of the season for the post office in general…hopefully my letter doesn’t get mixed up :c

if chicago should get them by wednesday do you think 2 and a half hours north of chicago right on the lake could get them wednesday also or probably not til thursday?

well, good luck everyone. tomorrow should be an interesting day for some of us!

emailing to International are great.

are you guys sure internationals will recieve them today?

In reply to LittleMikey4…If you are in the Chicago northern suburbs, you will probably get it the same day as everyone else in the Chicago area. If you are in Wisconsin, it may not be until a day later.

Can you explain something for me as I’m new to this whole thing. Ds applied through Questbridge. He didn’t win the scholarship, but forwarded his app to ND for what he thought was RD. He just got an e-mail that says he’s in EA and will find out soon. Is there some place to log on and get the decision, or will it come in an e-mail? Or do we wait for snail mail? This was totally unexpected so we’re caught off-guard, but y’all make it sound imminent.

Snail Mail for EAs will be delivered any day now. The decisions are not available online.

OK, thanks!

^^^^^I can’t see why they would inform international students via email, prior to informing US applicants via snail mail. If they were going to do any informing via email, why wouldn’t they just inform everyone via email at the same time, then follow-up with a packet in the mail for admits, and the little letter for others, international, or not?

I called them and they will email internationals (i am a us citizen living international) and this was for the past years too

it won’t make sense to use snail mail because that means it will take weeks before the student to recieve their decision. The student has to be notified at least before christmas to prepare for RD

i live very close to ND, about a 50 minute drive. Just checked my mail for today and didn’t get anything - I’m assuming tomorrow or thursday

Like I said Chicago and indiana should be getting them tomorrow or thrusday. If they sent them out yesterday, Chicago area should be getting them tmrw.
