I'm currently working on the third essay for the Supplement for the University of Notre Dame. The topic is:

How will a Notre Dame education enable you to answer the call to "use wisely the blessings of freedom, in order to build a future of hope" for others in your own way?

I have written about how I am Catholic and believe an education from Notre Dame can help me to grow in my faith and spread it to others, but I'm wondering if I should just explain about why I want to go to Notre Dame.

Also, I was wondering if anyone would be interested in reading my essay. I'm kind of like a perfectionist so I'm worried about sending it in.

omg please pm it to me! i have had the essay for my school done for 2 months but i am too scared to submit. i will edit it as best i can if u do the same

I would love to read your essay, just private message it to me. I’m applying to Notre Dame, too, but I’m responding to prompt #1 so don’t worry.

That sounds like a great topic for the essay. There is another 150 word short answer question that asks you why you want to go to Notre Dame, so that would be the apprriate place to tell them why you want to go there. Good luck!

maimah1 has a good point. If I were you, I would make the focus of the main essay about your eagerness to grow spiritually and how you intend to reach others with it (while including how Notre Dame will allow you to do that, of course). In the short answer question, I would express my confidence in Notre Dame to supply the tools necessary for success.

Thanks everyone for offering to read it, but I actually had my a.p. english teacher correct it for me and i’m planning on sending it in tonight.
maimah1 and gripz2010, i pretty much incorporated the the spiritual part of it and how notre dame would help me get there. i’ve been in catholic school all my life so my writing style kind of goes that way when it comes to anything doing with religion. haha. but thank you!!
