I was accepted as a transfer into the School of Nursing! Anyone else? Also, does anyone who was accepted know if there is a transfer student Facebook page or groupme chat?
@Nantucketgirl3 Congratulations! Duke is out of the picture for me, I definitely cannot afford it and they don’t have chemical engineering there. I am deciding between Northwestern and Upenn. My decision depends on a lot of factors that will all culminate very soon. I have a pending financial aid reevaluation for penn because I cannot afford their current offer. If they don’t reevaluate favorably then Northwestern is the only one I can afford. I also have other things to think about, but Penn is definitely not out of the picture for me just yet.
@krives22 Accepted into the School of Nursing as well!
@Nantucketgirl3 Congrats on your acceptance into both Duke and UPenn! I was also accepted into both, but I am having a difficult time making my decision. Can I ask what attracts you to UPenn more?
@mgr001 Thanks! I was rejected last year during my senior year of HS when I applied ED. I didn’t talk about my rejection at all in my essay, I just focused on my passion for the school and what I could see myself doing there.
Did anyone get their financial aid package yet?
@Nckpo3 congrats! are you planning on going?
@student909 Same here! Seeking suggestions…
@krives22 Yes most likely, how about you?
Can those who were accepted share their supplement essay?
@Nckpo3 I haven’t decided yet, I am between Penn, another school, and staying at my current school. I am visiting in a couple of weeks and will likely decide then!
@ElderJiang I think I’m leaning towards UPenn…? For my major (neuroscience), I know Duke is the better option, but I’m more attracted to UPenn for inexplicable reasons. I might change my major, so I guess I’m not making my decision solely on a specific department. UPenn provides a more diverse experience, but Duke definitely gives more attention to individual students. That’s mostly the reason I feel torn between the two.
Hi everyone, congratulations on the admission!! I am admitted to CAS and am facing a problem. I sincerely hope anyone who sees this post could offer me some advice.
I got a C+ in one of my spring course. It is a seminar on epics, Odyssey and Aeneid and so on. I emailed the AO and asked them if this is going to affect my enrollment and they asked me to explain it. I am not a native English speaker and the reading in this course is very difficult for me. Also, I did very well in the essay assignments in this course because I spent a lot of time on them, but did not do well on the final exam, which ultimately resulted in this grade.
Btw I am getting A’s in my other classes.
I am accepted as a math major and this seminar has nothing to do with it. Also, it is probably not going to be transferred as valid credit. I need your advice on two questions: 1) How do I explain this grade? Should I mention myself going to the therapist in April bc of anxiety issues since it might be a factor? 2) Is my offer likely to be revoked??
Thank you for reading this post and thank you for your advice in advance!!

@DeadPoolCollege Do you go to Penn? If I’m being honest, a C+ in a writing seminar when this person is a math major means nothing in the long run. @laozizuiku I know some people who didn’t do phenomenal with their last semester and their offers didn’t get revoked. You should be fine.
Has anyone receiwd their physical packet yet?
@Palmier My daughter did on Saturday …
For admitted students, you may want to let your parents know that there is a “Parents of UPenn Students” closed group on facebook that could be worth joining.
