University of Pennsylvania

Hi, I am an immigrant from Nepal who moved to the United States in 2010.

GPA- 3.98 (unweighted)
SAT- 2030
670 Critical Reading
670 Math
690 Writing

AP Government- 5
AP World History- 5
AP Language and Composition- 5

This year- AP Calc A/B
AP Physics B
AP French

I haven't done a lot of sports. In fact, just one year of swimming but I have tutored in school and am part of many clubs. I am also the treasurer for the Academy of Finance and also hold a 6 hour job. I am part of Red Cross' youth group chapter and have numerous awards of academic excellence. Do i have a good chance for Upenn?

They contacted me and identified me as a potential candidate. I don't know if that's important but they found me through Questbridge (I was not a finalist merely an applicant). Does my immigrant status help me or does it not matter?
Thanks

Unless you’re a US citizen, your immigrant status will hurt you, as the admittance rate for international applicants is quite low.

Also, to up your chances, I’d recommend you retake the SAT and shoot for at least 700 in each section.

Good luck! :)
