<p>For physics, it really makes little difference as the curriculum is more or less the same in all departments around the country. What is more important is that you take the mose challenging curriculum, get solid research experience and develop relationships with professors who can given you a strong reference letter. Oh, and good GPA and high GRE (general and physics) scores are important for the most selective schools.</p>
