Below is a construction update by Trojan Family Magazine:

Beginning in 2008 and ending around 2035, USC is planning to develop 5.23 million square feet of new space. Some of the following capital projects are already under construction, and some are contingent on funding through the Campaign for the University of Southern California, launched in 2011.

Don’t forget about the aquatics center. The campuses are experiencing some dramatic changes in the next few years that will make it look so much nicer.

I also noticed some additional aesthetic improvements going on also, i.e., adding bricks to the facade of buildings and parking structure X.

I also noticed that there are some rooms for improvement though. For instance, part of the backside of of the campus center, Bovard, Catholic Center, are stucco instead of the traditional red brinks.

There is also a small white building across from new university club that is an eyesore. Other than these, the campus looks fantastic!

I actually like that small white building. I think it has charm.

I actually like that small white building. I think it has charm. But I do think they are planning on taking it down.

It’s a really good sign for them to be doing all this planning/construction even if I won’t get to see it in my time there. I’ve been at huge multi-billion dollar companies that are super-stingy about building new facilities that would only cost a fraction of the CEO’s $40 million salary. But that’s industry for you.

Update on everything that was accomplished over the summer: [USC News](<a href=“USC News - University of Southern California News”>USC News - University of Southern California News)

Some articles highlighting the McKay Center mentioned that the track stadium will be renovated.

With the Heritage Initiative, I project a complete overhaul on all athletic facilities.

I am also egerly waiting for adkin to announce the interdisciplinary arts building. I believe it will be located where the old student health center is.

The below is a great read if you want to hear about USCs future capital plans. http://cityplanning.lacity.org/eir/USC/FEIR/files/Appendix%20C-3,%20Adaptive%20Mitigation%20Management%20Approach.pdf

Hahn Plaza is completed. The fountain has been enhanced and is much larger in size.
