@UTDad1995Grad I need to get off of CC because your post has heightened my anxiety to a whole new level! Lol
Has anyone heard back from the admissions office?
Not I. I DM’d them on Instagram yesterday and they got back to me right away. They said to plan on February 1. If that date gets pushed out to later, there will some notification. I then said, “Shoot, I was hoping that early applicants may hear sooner.” He said, “It is possible. Be checking your status update.” (Nothing helpful there). I presume, based on the reading that I have been doing that they will admit and notify in state applicants and then see how many students OOS they can accept. My kid is stuck on Austin, based on what I have read and the low number of OOS students accepted, I really need to get him to look elsewhere. I wish they would let the “rejects” know NOW! That would be a whole lot easier.
Son received admission status update today with admit to plan 2
seeing lots of new admits with the hashtag #UT23 on twitter and insta. none in our home ?
Congrats @momsquared33, it is a great program. According to the website Public University Honors, Plan II is among the top 5 public university honors programs in the nation. See the rankings below:

@momsquared33 Congratulations! Great program. Was Plan 2 your son’s first choice major?

@jaxlaxmom Is he is still ACT 28 etc,?. Would you pay full freight for OOS? 200K plus? He has been given a clear picture of admission numbers for OOS kids and their stats?
I am in shock, my child was accepted into P2! Now waiting on acceptances from other university programs and engineering!! Good luck everyone!!
Stats: 31 ACT, ok extra curricular, great essays, ok community service, about 18% rank in class from non ranking school. Other child applied only engineering and did not find out until Feb 1 and had better test scores (35 ACT, stand out athlete, president of class, president of math honors club, and more community service hours). I am quite surprised that we found out so early. I hope the stats give hope to a y’all! Good luck!

@xtexasmom my son was instructed to list Plan 2 as his second choice. He listed Government as a major first.
yes he is honored to be admitted!
my D was admitted to Plan II and McCombs last night! Now, waiting for BHP interview email (fingers crossed)!
Can anyone please help me with extracurriculars? What should I include? I mean I am a memeber in many volunteering organizations, and I occupy different positions, so I don’t think these will fit in the volunteering service part.
Has anyone heard about Turing Scholars or Engineering Honors yet? My daughter’s still says it is in review.
@KelliKil was your daughter an auto-admit? Also, will you share basic stats and anything extra special on resume for business?
Do you know when EA decisions come out? Is it possible they are rolling?
@momsquared33 how did your son list Plan 2 in his major choice? I can’t find it as an option in my application.
I just looked back into his application to see but it looks different because he has already applied. Seems like where you selected majors he selected Liberal arts as the college, then there was a first choice and a second choice over to the right. Seems like there was a drop down menu with Plan 2 in it? Then he had to go to the honors tab to make some other application there, but I know he chose Plan 2 as his second choice major.
