To select Plan II, you have to check the box in the main app (Coalition or ApplyTexas) indicating an interest in Honors. Afterwards, you should be able to select which honors programs (including P2).
This will make the honors tab visible where you can fill out the Honors app.
Thanks for the replies guys. I already checked that I’m interested in Honors and have submitted my applications for Honors a few weeks ago. I’m viewing from the “change majors” tab and under Liberal Arts I don’t see a Plan 2… Will I not be considered if I don’t select it as my major?
@TXDad56 Thank you so much for the information. My son is still working on his application. It looks a lot have already been accepted. Are they mostly In-state applicants? I guess the chance for our OOS are very slim, even if admitted, the tuition is expensive too as the chance for scholarship is also slim. Just not looking very good, but again, appreciate your help very much!
@kli586 , most of the current acceptances will be for IS, Auto Admit applicants. Per Texas law, 75% of incoming freshman will be IS, with most if not all being Auto Admit. The remaining 25% will be holistic reviews. Most, but not all, who have been accepted to date have been IS-AA. Like many of the top 100, flagship, public colleges, it’s hard to get in whether IS or OOS. It is not impossible but it behooves us as parents to make sure our BB’s and DD’s have applied to the best, Reach, Target and Safe schools, both academically prestige’s and affordable.
I remember a small wave of Acceptances, including Plan II and LAH, just before Thanksgiving break. Good luck everyone and try to enjoy your Thanksgiving. I don’t expect anything will happen after Thanksgiving, for at least 2-3 weeks.
Hey guys! OOS student here, with last weeks admissions wave accepting so many people i was wondering if they do weekly waves every friday? For an OOS student i really dont know how good my stats are but the basics are a 30ACT and 4.0 weighted GPA with a bunch of EC’s

OOS students account for 8% of admissions, assume to be full pay but even then those stats will mean UT is an unlikely reach. UT overall stats ( CDS) don’t reflect the selective nature of OOS admits.
FYI-- talked to someone in CNS Honors and they haven’t even received any admission packets yet. So don’t despair if you’re waiting to hear from them. It’ll be a while.
