@Hainesj I think I read somewhere on the website that contracts will be emailed on the first and the 15th of each month going forward. Did you commit before March 1st? My daughter & two friends that had committed all received contract offers on March 1st.
@momsquared33 @txaggiemom Yes I paid my fee and accepted awhile ago. I’m not sure exactly when but I’m pretty sure it was sometime in January. I submitted my housing application in December. I’ll wait for March 15 and see what happens. I might just be in the second wave. Thank you guys!
Yep. My son accepted admission ( which is refundable up to May 1) and received his housing contract 3/1. Good luck . They say the order of choice in housing goes by when you applied for housing so shouldn’t be a worry if you don’t have the contract yet. He got his but has not submitted it.
@Hainesj The December housing application date might have something to do with it. My daughter’s original housing application date was August 19th. Is it possible that housing is unsure if December was early enough to get on-campus housing and are waiting to make that determination?
@txaggiemom Lots going on with Housing for continuing students so it is likely having a ripple effect to dates.
I recommend everyone go onto the website for accepted students at UT and take a look at what AP scores (and SAT2s etc) get you as far as placement and testing. No use in worrying and paying for exams that will not make any difference.
Recieved my fanancial aid award today idk if anyone else has but I applied mid October
Did you see any scholarships on your offer? I only got grants, loans, and work-study. I’m wondering if UT plans to release anything else.
Son received his FAN today as well. We have some questions, hopefully we can speak to someone from FA at LEAD tomorrow.
Yes, one scholarship (of two received) appeared on his FAN.
@brobocop If Texas advance counts as a scholarship then yes. I cant remember if it’s a scholarship or a grant given by UT
No FA for my D yet.
Can you do business at UH for a year possibly earn at least 30 hours and then transfer to Mccombs at UT? Same goes for natural sciences such as biology and other majors? Is it possible to transfer after a year with 24 hours to business school at UT? Is there a required number of credit hours for transfer and is it okay if you do the minimum 24? I`m looking to apply to fall 2020 for mccombs school of business and transfer asap (hopefully a year).
Anyone else still waiting for Human Ecology honors decision?
Anybody get word on Terry Scholarship?
At yesterday’s Moody session, the Dean said non AA admission (into Moody) this year was most competitive pool ever with a 10% acceptance rate.
This would apply to in-state (non AA), OOS, and international applicants.
@UTWannabe23 my daughter received an invite for an interview February 26th. Interviews are scheduled for the first week in April. She just received another letter a few days ago that 90 students were nominated for interviews and that if they don’t intent to enroll and may decline their offer that there are 30 additional nominees Incase anyone wants to cancel, otherwise later those Terry scholarships will be unused.
@romns116 I also went to Longhorn Preview Day and the same man (Rocha) said total, there were about 3,000 Moody applications and 700 acceptances, so about 23% factoring in AA. Still very selective!
For College of Fine Arts, we were told (at the COFA Fine Arts Fest Mar 9th) that ~3500 applied to COFA majors and ~400 admissions (~11% acceptance) were offered. It was a question asked/answered during a tour, so not exactly official numbers - more ballpark.
@Brendononice You received your financial package in the mail or portal? we have received none so far. Are you in state?
