Is LEAD only for certain colleges at UT? My D only received an admitted student event invite for COFA, but not for the university in general.
@TexasTrue I’m not sure. I received an invite to LEAD for Moody College but not Moody All Access
We only received one invitation for both LEAD and the Moody visit - see below:
Congratulations on your admission to the Class of 2023! The University of Texas at Austin invites you to LEAD Texas, an exclusive, invitation-only event for select members of the incoming class.
LEAD Texas offers you the opportunity to explore how you can have a one-of-a-kind experience through hands-on learning, working with top professors, studying in nationally ranked academic programs, and living in one of the nation’s most vibrant cities. During LEAD Texas you will also have the chance to explore the Moody College of Communication where you will connect with staff, current students and faculty.
LEAD Texas takes place on campus from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 9 and lunch will be provided.
Space is extremely limited, so RSVP soon.
I believe All Access invitations were sent to Moody Honors students. My son was accepted to MH, so he received two separate email invites. Sorry forgot to mention that detail.
@romns116 that makes sense. I didn’t get into Moody Honors so that’s probably why. Thanks!
Congratulations @TennisPlayer1515. My son is also going to McCombs. Also from WA state.
At what point does the “Check back in two weeks” message under the Financial Aid tab turn into actual financial aid information? It’s said “check back in two weeks” for closer to four weeks…
@monkey99 you should be able to click on the “cash” link and go to the Cash page and click on the financial aid 2019-2020 for a list of requirements and status. Our status is still “not yet available” under that tab.
@monkey99 Usually March 15th - if you look at previous years announcements. Don’t expect to see much - department scholarships are given way later as well as Texas Exes. They can filter into a students account at any point. All you will see is Need based, some of the big Merit programs already talked about on here and if you’ve received one then you already know about it and Loans for everyone. Need based can also range - just because you qualify doesn’t mean you’ll get it which is the same as how all schools work.
Thanks, y’all! I appreciate the help!
@monkey99 Not that it’s any consolation, but ours has said check back in 2 weeks for months! So we just keep checking back every so often. I’m assuming sometime by the end of this month it will actually be up there though.
@monkey99 I received an email a few weeks ago from the university with a PS that said they send the first financial aid notifications “mid-March”
New Student conference timings to be released tomorrow. Anyone have any idea when it would be released- am or pm? Thanks
We will try am for Orientation registration, somewhere I read it was about 10am last year.
Thanks @MomJojo
@Embeechristmas If you look into the orientation links on the Texas 23 page of their website and go go try to register it will say that orientation registration opens at approximately 10 a.m. CST
are there decisions still pending for UT? My daughter was AA, but I was talking to someone yesterday and she said her son is still waiting to hear. I thought it was all out by March 1?
Thanks @Brendononice . Did it this am!!
Has anyone not gotten an email about housing contracts yet? I submitted my application mid December and they said contracts would be offered March 1. I still haven’t gotten an email. Is this another wave process?
Have you accepted admission and paid the 200$?
