Generally, i don’t think so but they are often used in the appeal process. If anyone else has different information would love to know.

@juststaycool where do you see anything requiring the submission of 1st semester senior grades?
you have to submit your final transcript to all schools to prove that you actually completed high school but I am not aware of any requirement to submit 1st semester grades for review.
@utwannabe23 yes, sorry, that is what I meant. You have to submit final grades. Competitive programs & honors programs at UT expect to see those grades maintained. Also, if your grades are good and you are taking your most demanding classes, you should upload and mid-year grades asap to show that strength while in review.
I applied to the government program in COLA, is it competitive?
@Southernschoolsforlyfe I’d say it’s just as competitive as any other COLA major. If you’re an auto-admit or even close in stats, I’d say it’s almost guaranteed you’ll get in
I sent my SAT scores a day after their score deadline and in my portal it says “Your application was not completed by the deadline.” Does anyone know if this means my application is nullified? if not, will it hurt my chances of getting in?
@odometer when the texas representatives came to our school they said if everything is not in in time then the application will not go in. i know this is not what you’d like to hear but i’d suggest contacting the admission department at the school to sort it out. best of luck
My D applied to CNS (12/1) and has gotten the acceptance today, it was a real surprise for us though I constantly keep checking this portal many times a day. (She is an OOS). Didnt get an email, just checked the portal and found it.
My daughter applied early August, in-state, auto-admit and got her acceptance into Biology, CNS tonight. I know it was within the last hour because I check the portal way too often!!!

Accepted in state electrical engineering, applied September. 34 ACT, 1510 SAT, top 1% in class, good but not incredible ECs + recommendation. Honors application completed in November so waiting on that decision.
OOS sat 1320 rank 9% excellent ECs
