Does anyone think there will be any admissions today?
Since the release of results has been so random so far, there is no way to tell if a few, a lot or none of the applicants might hear something today. I wish they would adopt a system like many other schools and stick to a release schedule.
crickets from the admissions department
Oops! That was A&M Honors program not UT that she got the email from. haha
My neighbors son got accepted today, but my son has not heard yet.
@Margaret1995 What major did he get accepted into?
Did anyone see changes in MYStatus? My son’s number of “Done” items changed from 7 to 8 this week. The new item is that he satisfied the TX high school curriculum requirements (we are OOS). Is that a sign of activity on his application? Thx!
mine changed to 10 Done items … obviously activity of some kind going on.
My son’s Done items had several extras including the TX high school curriculum, class rank and a few others. They’re definitely working on things.
edit: nevermind, server’s working fine now (:
@bloque I have the same error, guessing its not a big deal.
Have any nursing majors been accepted this year? I’m curious about how competitive this major is for future reference.
Judging from the applicants from our local HS, direct-admit nursing is pretty competitive. Students with good scores and top 2% have been denied. Another website quoted a 6% admit rate, but I find that hard to believe.
When I went to their prospective student presentation over the summer, they said that 4% of people are admitted into the program. Last year they accepted 90 out of 1800. Yikes! I applied for that major so very nerve-wracking!
I applied late October under the priority deadline and haven’t heard anything? Anyone else in this boat? I am OOS and my application status has been “in review” since early November.
Would anyone have any information as to when CNS or Liberal Arts Honors/Plan II decisions will roll out?
@screenname493 @StraightOuttaTX I don’t think there will be much news til Jan 31 based on previous years’ releases
Many applicants are in this situation, I think, including my twin daughters - IS, non-autoadmit.
yep … there stated decision date is “by Feb. 1st” . As they trickle interim decisions out it makes it quite frustrating for those that are not hearing. i agree with @UT2324 that based on last year’s pattern we won’t hear much until 1/31 - 2/1.
Does UT Austin look at first semester senior grades?
