@moneyplays osu or auburn are my backups as well good luck!
Anyone here anything from college of education OOS, specifically sports culture?
To be honest, everyone that is OOS has not heard anything. Since 80% of admissions have been offered, the final 20% might be more OOS applicants because in-state applicants have been getting CAP this week. Still, it seems that not many OOS applicants have heard or been accepted to this point.
Are any in-state applicants still waiting for a decision?
@DABEARS1985 I’m not too sure about that. I was accepted OOS and I’ve seen quite a few OOS people in this forum and elsewhere share their acceptances. I think the majority of OOS folks have already been accepted, although I could be wrong as this isn’t based on stats or anything, just my own observation.
@FructusSum Idk either but I just read it from https://texadmissions.com/blog/2019/1/26/ut-austin-appeals-fall-2019. He says that “UT has already released about 80% of their total admits with the remainder coming primarily from Architecture, Fine Arts, and OOS applicants across all majors.” I feel that they have reviewed the majority of in-state applicants because why would they give CAP to so many people this week if they were still going to admit some next week. What major did you get in for?
@DABEARS1985 In-state Fine Arts candidate here and still waiting!
@DABEARS1985 In-State Fine Arts candidate still waiting.
@NoraDrake yeah the article said UT the remainder is coming primarily from Architecture, Fine Arts, and OOS applicants across all majors. Good Luck
@NoraDrake So most likely those that have not heard from in-state are either Architecture or Fine Arts. I am OOS so I am not expecting an acceptance.
@DABEARS1985 from what that post said why are you giving up hope? It sounds like plenty of OOS acceptances to come.
@Bayeriffic I hope so, just don’t want to keep my expectations high.
@DABEARS1985 Ah, OK, that makes sense; I didn’t really connect it with the CAP announcements. I got in for IRG, which I don’t think is that impacted of a major, which might be why I was admitted in an earlier wave as OOS.
Has anyone gotten into CNS dean’s scholars? When do they notify? Thanks!
We are OOS and heard last week.
@Bayeriffic I think we are applying to some of the same schools, which makes sense though ha ha Good luck!
@collegemom111111 did you get into UT Moody also? I just saw your Tulane comment:)
I have been watching this thread because I have a student that is VERY interested in McCombs for next year and he is OOS so we are trying to get a feel for his chances.
Before I even read @DABEARS1985 post about what she read about OOS, I was getting the feeling that a lot of OOS students haven’t heard yet, but I know some have. I am rooting for you all…please post your stats please as they come in because it really helps future applicants understand their chances.
I have to say UT’s acceptances are all over the place for the non auto admits…they must truly be holistic which is impressive for such a large school with so many applicants.
Good luck everyone!!!
I know they say for priority applicants we will hear by 2/1… does that mean we should expect to hear on 2/1 or the day before, since it says BY 2/1? Do you think they will release it in a similar fashion as they have been releasing the weekly waves?
I’m just reading over the stats on the CAPPED and rejected major applicants on this thread and my jaw is on the floor. What the heck?
