University of Texas at Dallas?

I’m looking to go into international business for Chinese and I was wondering if UTD is a good school and if many people can get jobs after attending that school. I know that the university is fairly new so I’m worried it’s not respected enough to be able to get a good job. Perhaps if I do an internship and an MBA program there it may be better? Thoughts?

If you can get a full tuition scholarship it’s worth attending. No one cares about undergrad for international business. Do well in undergrad and study like crazy for the gmat. Most elite grad schools don’t care about where you studied undergrad as long as it’s accredited. They want diversity, not just students from all the same backgrounds. Every university has job fairs and being close to Dallas is helpful. You will be as successful as the work you put into the success and whatever undergrad you choose won’t be the deciding factor. Get in and out of school with as little debt as possible and network like crazy.

@laurarwrites DS is a CS major but working toward a minor in Chinese. So far he really enjoys his Chinese class and feelt the placement exam put him at the level he need to be in. I was surprised that the Chinese classes are so small.
