When you apply to University of California System you can apply to multiple campuses with one application. You check a checkbox for each campus you want to apply to. Even the essays are the same. Each campus evaluates and decides on your application separately and without knowing whether you have applied to other campuses or their decisions.
Are there other such “System” colleges where you can apply to multiple campuses with one application including essays? In particular, is that how University of Texas works, since they too have multiple campuses?
There is something called Apply Texas. It is used by all public schools in Texas. You have the ability to create an application for whatever school you would like. There is standard demographic info. So it is easy to “copy existing application” instead of starting from scratch each time. Each school may have additional questions specific to the school. But I would start with the University of Texas at Austin or Texas A&M - those are the longer ones. My daughter was able to copy those - and a couple of the smaller state schools had no additional questions except agreeing to school rules and academic honesty type agreements.
