Hi!
Does anyone know the acceptance rate for the engineering science program…there aren’t any stats mentioned online
Thank You!
@7T01R01 U of T doesn’t publicize acceptance rates. Their rates should be similar to University of Waterloo’s though and Waterloo publishes lots of data. You can google Waterloo engineering prof bill anderson blog to find tons of engineering admissions info from Waterloo. CC won’t let me provide a link.
Looking at Bill Anderson’s info in his Chances for 2018 post, Canadian citizens with a 90% average have a 10% chance at the most selective engineering programs and a 50% chance at the least selective programs. Those chances increase to 35% and 90% respectively with a 95% average. For non-citizens (or permanent residents), chances for all programs are 10% for a 90% average, 30% for a 95% average and 90% for a 100% average.
U of T Eng Sci is one of the most selective U of T programs.
Okay
Thank You!
@bouders
@7T01R01 Just realized I mistyped in my post above. Permanent residents of Canada have the same chances as Canadian citizens.
Hi, I’m from Toronto, Canada. U of T engineering is VERY competitive! I would say that U of T and Waterloo have the best engineering programs in Canada! To be a competitive applicant for U of T engineering, I would say that your average should be 95% out of 100%.
