okay my daughter ‘forgot’ to mention it to me!

Received notice in portal that son was waitlisted.

Ugh…my son is going to check now too

D is in, accepted to Exercise Science, with $17000/yr scholarship.

From CA, 3.9 UW, 4.1 W, no test scores.

Still a bit pricey, unfortunately.

My son was accepted!!! Not sure about merit since he is away on a ski trip so all I know is he’s in.

My son accepted for spring semester 2023 to Grossman School of Business. He is happy but conflicted about the spring start.

I didn’t know spring starts were even an option. Do you know if that’s specific to the business school, maybe?

My brother did that - started in January many moons ago. He ended up having a great experience but it is brutal to start in Vermont in the winter. He went there from NJ and that first semester was like what am I doing here!!! But after that it was great…

My daughter is driving 4 hours to visit a friend so I need to wait as well!

It says they will reconsider him for fall start around May 1- they have to determine if they have spots open based on how many commit to go

She just texted and said she was accepted and got the Presidential scholarship for $9000/semester. Does anyone know if there are other scholarships available?

My son was accepted for a spring start as well but he was admitted with an undeclared major, so it’s not just business. Definitely puts a bit of a damper on the decision!

My daughter was accepted (fall semester, nursing) and got the “Vermont Scholars Award” which is $3500/semester. We are in state, so already getting a good deal on tuition, so that’s a nice little bonus! She really has her heart set on going to school outside of New England, so not sure what we will end up doing yet - gotta wait on a few more decisions this month - but it’s definitely a good feeling!

I was originally deferred as well! Out of state, 3.9 UW 4.2 W. No test scores. Also didn’t do the optional essay. Was accepted tonight w/ Presidential Scholarship. Congratulations to your daughter! There is hope!

My son was deferred also! Was so happy he was accepted as this is a top choice for him. He’s now deciding between JMU and UVM.

Curious if Honors College invites come separately or with acceptance? DS has a friend who was accepted with merit but was really hoping for HC. Trying to tell her there’s still hope!
