My understanding is that HC notification comes with admissions and merit letters. If you do not receive at that time, you can write admissions and ask to be reconsidered. I would assume they are looking at the “reconsidered” pool now.
Thx—I didn’t realize you could ask to be reconsidered. Regular decisions just came out on 3/4, so I’m assuming you mean they are looking at those in the EA pool asking for reconsideration?
Since EA and RD are now complete, I think they would/could now move on to reconsidering those who requested from both groups. The honors college admissions page also references a waitlist.
“Students learn of their Honors College invitation status when they receive their UVM application decision (mid-December for early applicants, early-March for regular decision applicants). In addition, in early March we notify students if they have been placed on the Honors College waitlist and will be in contact with those student through the spring.”
I assume this is to fill spots from those who go elsewhere. So, there is still hope. A letter of interest could never hurt especially if honors college is the deciding factor.
My daughter’s Honors College invitation came with her admission decision on 3/4.
Interesting—thank you both. On the admissions page called “After You Apply” there’s an FAQ that says HC invites come within 3 weeks if admission, so it’s a little confusing. Sounds like it could maybe go either way? I’ll suggest she write a letter of interest to her admissions rep.

Does anyone have a sense of how often spring start admits are offered a spot in the fall before May 1st ? Son got into Grossman for a spring start but is unsure about waiting until January.
my daughter is also Spring start, have you heard anything yet? we have not!
She is not interested in a Spring Start but is very interested in UVM. We live overseas so a 1st semester abroad program has 0% interest for her. Got another week, I suppose. She has other options as well
No formal response yet. With people making decisions before May 1st, I hope people are respectful enough to click the Decline button as soon as they make a decision.
