I was wondering what UVA's policy was on the SAT and ACT. I took the ACT once and the SAT, and found that i do much better on the SAT. So, i figured that i would put all concentration on the SAT. Which now as it is coming down to the beginnings of college applications i was wondering if this was a smart move. I started to think that i probably should have concentrated on both of them, but i figured i heard everybody talking about the SAT as if it was the only thing college's looked at (which i know to be untrue). If you couldn't tell the college i want to get into is UVA and i was trying to figure out whether or not they just concentrated on one or the other. Any responses would be great. :)

UVa and essentially all colleges take either test without preference for either so you can provide which one you want to send. You should note that UVa also “recommends” two SAT subject tests regardless of whether you submit SAT or ACT.

Thanks for the reply. Thats what i was hoping. Also i have taken one SAT subject test, and did not do as well as i thought i did. I got a 570 on the US History test (which i must have had a taste of pre-summer giddiness when i took it because i was positive i could have done better.), and i heard to not even submit them unless there over a 600. I also plan to be taking a few more Subject test later this year.
