GPA: 3.75 (weighted); 3.02 (unweighted)
SAT: 1730
I will have taken 11 AP classes by the end of my senior year. I am the secretary of Student Council. I am an editor for the yearbook. I have been a part of a few clubs. I probably have 150+ volunteer hours (local hospital, United Way, local organizations). I was a part of NHS for 2 years of high school.
I am just worried about my GPA. I think that it will make my application seem less valuable.
to be honest, with your low gpa it will devalue the amount of ap classes you’ve taken. university of washington is selective and will be looking more into your gpa and test scores than the classes you’ve taken/ extracurriculars . if you really want to go to university of washington, i suggest trying to transfer in during your sophomore year if you want to take that route, but to get admission by transferring in you are really going to need to work your ass off to show that you have improved during your freshman year
