Hello, I'm currently a senior looking to apply for the 2014 Autumn quarter to UW.
Stats:
Female
White (parents are immigrants, I'm first generation Armenian)
GPA: 4.0 unweighted, 4.8 weighted.
Rank: I'm valedictorian of my class of ~600 right now.
SAT: 2090, CR: 730, M: 690, W: 670
I take mostly AP and honors classes. I had one AP sophomore year, 4 last year, and 5 this year. I got 4's and 5's on most of the exams (not that it really matters as far as admissions go).
As far as extracurriculars, I've been on the varsity tennis team for 3 years, the #1 singles player for 2 years, and captain this year. I've been in key club for 2 years and am VP this year, I've been in NHS for 3 years (was secretary last year). I'm also on our school district's student advisory committee and my city's youth empowerment council. I do a lot of community service. I speak 3 languages. Uhm...idk what else to put. I guess you should know I'm applying out of state...uhm. Yeah that's it. So will I get in?

Oh, and I’m applying as a bio major in case that makes a difference…

Well technically to UW you only apply for a major following your freshman year - not during admission. You simply say what you’re interested in. (I’m in-state so I know a lot of friends there).

I’d say as a valedictorian with a 4.0, solid schedule and decent ECs and languages under your belt you should be accepted to UW. If you were in-state I’d say you are a shoo-in, but nevertheless you’ll get in.

UW: Match

Consider applying to some higher tier schools :)

P.S. UW values its writing supplements a LOT

Chance Back? [Chance me ED Penn, Chicago and More!](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1573209-chance-me-ed-penn-chicago-more-will-chance-back.html)

UW: low match
you’ll easily get in. I would apply to better schools too if I were you, such as Michigan, UVA, etc.

UWA: Low match (can you pay full-freight?)

To all that replied, first off, thank you! I honestly was not expecting replies (this is my first time posting). In response: I am applying to better schools like NYU and Boston University, but I want to go to school in Seattle. But, other than that I’m nothing special when it comes to much higher tier schools. I’m trying to apply to lower tier schools so I can be somewhere near the top of the applicant pool so I can get more financial aid/scholarships. :)
