university of wisconsin vs university of michigan education program

I am trying to decide between univ of wisconsin and the univ of michigan for unidergraduate school. I am planning to major in education.
Does anyone have any information on the job placement statistics upon graduation. Also I understand I will have to apply to the respective education departments after freshman year. How competitive is it to be accepted into the programs? How much time is actually spent in student teaching and practical classroom experience? Are the teachers helpful and accessible?

UW is ranked 5th and UM 8th for Education Schools so both are excellent. UW is significantly cheaper if that matters. Both are competitive for admission to the ed programs.

how much would each cost you, after scholarships and before any loan?

Since both Wisconsin & Michigan are right to work states, I think it would make a difference in obtaining tenure & receiving annual salary step increments etc. Also the state of Michigan recently tightened teachers’ certification requirements, making it slightly more difficult to pass the state exam. Are these states the only choice?
