Unsure about where to go/weighing my options?

The people on this site seem to be really knowledgeable, so I figured I could ask for some guidance (my parents aren't much help).

I'm looking to go a school with a little bit of prestige, as I like a challenge and want to take my future seriously. It has to be private, because tuition is a big concern for me, and private schools are known to give better financial aid. I am a little bit of a prep, and there are bonus points for anyone who can point me to a school where I would fit in with a majority of the student body. :)

Here are some stats (I can always add more if needed!):
3.7 unweighted GPA
4.1 weighted GPA
32 ACT score (but I've only taken it once, and I didn't study, so this should hopefully go up)
- 34 English
- 30 Math
- 35 Reading
- 28 Science
I was on a state champion We The People unit too.

These are some colleges I'm looking at (so if anyone has anymore information that would be wonderful):
Kalamazoo College
University of Michigan
Kenyon College
Middlebury
Loyola (in Baltimore)
American University

I know a lot of those are pretty high reaches (especially Middlebury and American) which is another reason why I am asking for help. Any opinions or suggestions offered would be great :)

I don’t know anything about any of those schools, sorry. But although private schools may give better financial aid, there is NO guarantee or obligation of any school to give you the aid you think you need, or even the aid they think you need. They have a price, and they may or may not choose to lower it for you, but are no more obligated to lower the price than your nearby steak restaurant or car dealership.

Nice ACT scores - good luck! :)
