Thanks for your opinions!

You keep stating "The College" -- I assume you're referring to Georgetown College on campus and of the four programs (COL, SFS, NHS, MSB).

I say you have a very fair chance of getting in, but the admission rates are getting harder and harder.

Hey,

I'm also a junior and looking into JSA summer program, except at Yale. I love politics and speaking as well; though I am more international-affairs oriented. I would love to take US Foreign Policy @ G-Town, but am more law-oriented (Constitutional Law) and want to go to Yale more. (I'll probably opt for JSA if I don't get into the Quest program at Stanford)

What is Georgetown like? What are the classes at "The College" like?

One reservation about G-Town is that its Catholic/Jesuit oriented, right? As a Christian, no matter how much I like politics/intl affairs, I would never go to a school that forced me to follow Jesuit traditions. (One of the guys on my debate team last year got into G-Town, and he was a really devout Catholic)

I was leading pre-trial lawyer last year for my team, but it got so repetitive and boring that I quit for my local college debate team. Maybe its because my mock trial team isn't that nationally competitive (got 8th at state).

I think you have a good chance at Georgetown; you demonstrate a lot of interest in the fields you're going into, and have taken a lot of classes there. A rec from one of your profs would help a lot, too.

Good luck next year on apps!

I agree. I think that you have a decent chance of getting in.
