Updating UC application with Fall 06 grades

I did. He refused to answer the question but he did let me know he received the email. I talked to the school and they said that the dean will look into it. Whatever that means. I have known all my other grades since the semester ended. This grade is pretty much based on the teachers mood though. If he likes you A or B if he doesn't something else.

Your prof's really lame...
I hate those profs who give out grades not based on the academic ability but on favoritism.

Same situation. sweetny Although I'm pretty confident that my professor will give me an A, one can never be too sure. So yeah, I'll continue refreshing my college's website until my grade shows up.

Yeah unfortunately he was the only teacher for the class I needed. I think it is ridiculous that the school hasn't made him turn in grades at this point. I mean what about those kids who took that class as a prereq for a class they are taking this semester?? Lame!

Pellman, I pretty much know that I am getting an A too but like you said you can never be sure. And I can't update the UC's until I know for sure.

Does anyone know if you are transferring from another UC campus if you have to have the GE requirements completed by the time you enroll at your new school? It asks for this info on the update form we have to submit, but I wasn't sure if they have to be completed or not. If they do I would have to change one class on my planned coursework section. Thanks.

Ok, Im having a problem.
When I did my initial application, my Poli Sci courses showed up in the app as CCCT courses. Now, in the update app section, they dont have the CCCT next to them, and I havent modified anything! I tried putting in different combos for the department name, because thats what I had to do in the initial app to get all the right classes to be CCCT, but now it wont work. Anyone else having this problem? Or is there someone I could call at the UC where they could help me out?

This is from the FAQ on the application update page:

Q: Do I need to send a transcript?
A: Unless specifically requested by a campus, a transcript is not required prior to admission. If you are admitted, you will be asked to submit official transcripts from all schools and colleges attended, including high school, regardless of your length of attendance or whether you believe the credit is transferable. Do not send a transcript in lieu of completing a Application Update form.

UC San Diego applicants must send official transcripts from all educational institutions attended directly to the UCSD campus. If you are not applying to any other UC campus, you do not have to complete the Application Update form. Applications to all other campuses must be updated using the Application Update form. If you have any questions about applying to UCSD, please call
(858) 534-4831.

So does this mean we have to send our transcripts to UCSD now?

Also I added a PE class to my original schedule for spring. I updated my courses on the application update...do I still need to send the change in writing to the schools where I applied?

bobbak, that's an interesting situation. You should check www.assist.org immediately and see if those courses have changed from being transferrable to non-transferrable. If it has, you should probablly contact the schools you applied to and indicate to them your situation.

thanks pellman, I did just check assist, and they are still transferrable, which puzzles me even more.
I guess im going to have to contact those schools. I wish there was an easier way to do this lol.

Did you guys get the general e-mail from processing services asking to fill out the UC App Update?

Yeah I got it this afternoon after I had already submitted my update. I finally got my last grade! 4.0 for fall :)

ahhh where are the additional UC Berkeley forms? I can't find them on the UC Berkeley Admissions website.

You log on to myberkeley and and you fill out the additional stuff there.

https://students.berkeley.edu/myberkeley/myberkeleyapp.asp

has anyone done berks yet? i cant finish it cuz they havent updated the WIP

I am waiting for it to update too.

berkeley update is loooooooong. why do berkeley have make themselves look special?

personally if i got into both ucla and berkeley, i would choose ucla.

Still waiting for my goddamn grade.

For the Cal update, did you guys put the full department name and number or the abbreviation?

For example:

ECN 1 or Economics 1

i put the full department name

ps. does anyone know if your CC does not offer a course for your major, will that count against you? I spoke with some lady in admissions and, perhaps she was not well-informed, she said that i should have gone to another cc to take it. wth? this was for berk, btw.

I don't see what's so long about the Berkeley update. Anyway for the update i just did abbreviation because my econ courses were not listed something as ECN1 mine were BUSC1A and BUSC1B for my econ classes
