Your ACT and GPA score is good for UPENN, however, your EC’s do not fall into UPENN’s expectations. I do recommend telling me your AP scores and other things you do. If you increase your depth of EC’s, you will be all set!
Lol your chances are definitely not 45%. Don’t listen to the poster above. While you have a very good chance at getting in, it’s much closer to Penn’s overall acceptance rate, which is 8 or 9% I think. Make sure your essays will be amazing, and good luck!
Lol this made me laugh hard. @Chanceme2023 Please ignore such silliness. No one has a 45% chance at Penn unless they are legacies with a great donation history and competitive profile, or they are prodigies with international awards or sth.
Your profile is within the competitive range for Penn but here will be tens of thousands of other applicants with similar or better profiles. If Penn is your first choice, consider applying ED, it will increase your chances significantly .
@pv9812 you’re in 8th grade. 13 years old or so? Why on earth are you chancing 17/18 year olds on a topic critical to their futures? Please do not act like you have any knowledge of the matter. I have no idea why you’re spending time on CC chancing people at top colleges. Focus on middle school. Let them get input from people with experience.
Thank you, all. I intend to apply ED and hopefully pick up whatever statistical edge this gives me. I am less concerned with ECs as I think these will shine-up more on an actual resume. What about Subject SATs? I have been told these are not overly significant, but to try to get these as close to the 700 range as possible. How many should I submit?
@Chanceme2023 Try to submit 2-3. If you’re looking at CompSci or Engineering make sure one of them is Math 2. Maybe physics. Probably a language, as if you do well enough you can use that subject test to count for your foreign language requirement.
