UPENN College Houses: Riepe vs Fisher

Heyy all, just got accepted ED so I'm over the moon, and I'm being really keen and thinking about College Houses already, because I know it's the kind of thing I'll leave till really late and then get all confused!

I've pretty much decided on the quad as my first choice, and I was wondering people's opinions on Riepe vs Fisher? I'm a friendly person who likes to socialise/party and I definitely would like a strong sense of community. I know there's apparently not much difference between Riepe/Fisher/Ware anyway, but if anyone could tell me Pros/Cons of Fisher and Riepe, anything from the rooms to the people to the location, I would reeeeally appreciate it!

Thanks!

buuuumpppppp

Fisher is in the Upper Quad, so it’s slightly closer to the strip mall with Wawa/other food places, and Commons (dining hall). Riepe is in lower quad, so it’s somewhat closer to the Houston (food), Van Pelt library, and other buildings where classes are typically held.

check out the “living cultures” residential program in Riepe. we have an awesome sense of community; plus, we get lots of free food… which is always a plus!

as to whether riepe or fisher or ware (between the two) in general… not really much difference. i guess if you’re wharton, fisher and ware are closer to huntsman hall… but only by a few steps lol. rooms are the same… can’t go wrong with any of the three!

the “close” factor is maybe a block at best. personally I like how the lower quad looks a lot better (I live in upper quad) but it doesn’t really matter too much. try looking at residential programs that each offers and see if there is one that really stands out to you.
