I posted this in the admissions thread too, but i think this fits here better

Hey guys so I am gonna be applying to schools soon and these are my top choices of schools. I am going to apply to one of them ED, but I can't seem to make up my mind. UPenn is propably my fav here but I heard if your not a legacy then you have the same chance of getting in RD as ED. I like the rest 3 equally. My question to you guys is it true about the UPenn thing? Which of the schools is the easiet to get into ED? And which school do you guys reccomend? Thks!

Do not use ED to try to “game” the system. ED the school that you fit in, that you love, and that you are willing to pay more money for (lesser aid).

Don’t ED at a school that isn’t your top choice.

I would suggest EDing at Penn, disregarding whether or not it confers an advantage, unless there is a significant possibility that you will not be able to attend due to finances. That would remove it as an option, and you would then be unable to compare its financial aid offer with those of the others. Definitely do not ED at a school that gives a boost if you would rather attend somewhere else.

Im def not going to ED a school due to admissions. and but would i not have a better chance at Duke oR JHU ED? or is that not true?

it depends on fit. As stated above, don’t try to game the system. Your interest or lack thereof will come through. ED acceptance rates are very deceiving because they sometimes include a lot of athletes who commit to the school along with legacies.

You just asked which school you’d have a better chance at through ED…
I’m not going to repeat what other posters said, just go back and read.
