UPenn ED 2025

Do you guys think Penn ED could come out this Friday the 11th?

It’s possible, but I highly doubt it. Last year, Penn decisions came out on the 16th. If anything, the date would be later this year since they’re probably getting more applications. Most other ivies and highly selective colleges release their decisions next week.

The range of notification dates the last five years has been from the 9th to the 16th. Last year, as you probably noticed, the 16th fell on a Monday. They don’t seem to notify on the weekend.

I think they’ll be emailing us later today about the official release date and time (or it’ll show up on the portal)

that would be nice. what do you base that on?

Cornell officially announced their decision date this morning. Hopefully Penn follows suit.

Where’d you hear this?

What makes you think that they’ll email us? Did you hear that from a legit source or are you just speculating?

they let students know when they’ll release the decision.

i have friends that got in for the 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023 class & they all said that they got emails from Penn stating the exact release date & they got those emails 1 or 2 weeks before the actual date (a lot of them got it around Dec 3).

Do you know around what time?

there’s no way of knowing what exact time they’ll email us but i think we can expect something from them by wednesday at the very least (at least i hope)

I can confirm that Penn emails applicants a week or so ahead of time with the date and time decisions will be posted to the portal. Best of luck to you!

They actually announced it a few days ago for Cornell!

Going through this thread I’m seeing a lot of people say that there is an increase in applicants this year (which may end up making admissions tougher). Is this for certain, and can somebody explain the rationale behind why there are more applicants this year? I thought there might’ve been less applicants due to the uncertainty that Covid has caused…

Just a bit confused here

Also applied Penn ED, by the way.

My counselor has not received a request for my first quarter grades. Does this mean I won’t get in?

Not at all!

Phew! I wonder why they didn’t request my grades though. Maybe my school typically only sends midyear reports so Penn knows not to ask for first quarter grades? I’m really not sure but I am glad that this doesn’t mean I won’t get in.

I’m scared now. Penn didn’t request my 1st Quarter grades of senior year. Seems I don’t have chance then.
