@bobjones12345 Really?! God bless your heart! Thank you
@bobjones12345 omg i dont know who u r, but i love u for that piece of information. THANKS!
@bobjones12345 as in decisions tomorrow or decision date release?
@bobjones12345 You’re talking about the notification of the release date, correct? Not the actual posting of decisions?
@bobjones12345 Thanks! I don’t think you realize just how much you have brightened my life just now. I can finally sleep in peace and focus at school tomorrow haha.
Guys, just one question. Have you all submitted the resume? I didn’t and I’m now worry about whether it would hurt my chance. I think it is quite weird to have a resume where all of the activities, work experience, and awards are listed
^I didn’t submit the resume either and now have the same concern. Was the resume option more geared for people who had significant work experience?
@Maggie1224 @Aztreas I didn’t submit my resume either because I’d mentioned all the activities in my common app. Resume was basically for someone who wanted to elaborate on their activities.
How much does Penn value an applicant whose written and even got published a book?
@Palak786 i hope us writers do get some recognition
@turkeybacon Are you applying to Wharton too?
@Palak786 yes. in a way i think that we have a bit of an advantage due to the school likely wanting to diversify their image. a lot of people will be very numbers oriented and strictly financial but i think ECs such as literature awards or the publishing of a novel would be unexpected and let you stand out
I hope they do @turkeybacon Btw my book isn’t really about my excellent writing skills or something. Its about my passion for ‘Yoga’
@Palak786 @turkeybacon I’m in the same boat! I published a fantasy novel on Amazon. Most of my ECs and awards have been centered around writing - and I’m applying to Wharton.
is it a terrible, horrific, formidable thing that although i self reported my sat subject tests, ap tests, and ib tests, i didn’t officially send them in? I did send in my act score, which checked the little box on the admissions page, which is why the thought didn’t even cross my mind. i have a 5 on all 8 of my ap tests and an 800 on one of my subject tests… will they just completely disregard those scores on my application?
I think it should be okay… those scores are not required by penn.
So are we thinking 5 pm today? Or is there a possibility it could be earlier?
I’m not entirely sure that other person who gave us the info is trustworthy. Of course, I would love to know the date too, but I feel like it’s kind of suspicious.
this is a question for someone who lives near Penn or really anyone from the northeast-how cold does it get?? I’m from Florida so I know it will definitely be a shock for me if I get in but I’m wondering how MUCH of a shock lol :-S
@queenharambe well first of all I give you credit for living in Florida I couldn’t deal with the humidity when I visited there! How cold does it get in the winter? I live in Boston MA so very similar to Penn and I visit Philly frequently in the winter BC of my grandparents so I would say it gets pretty cold, like scarf and winter coat level, at least for me here I’ve never had to wear long underwear under my jeans regularly but when it snows extremely heavily here I do wear long underwear under my jeans. At night time it gets very cold. If you get accepted I could definitely make up a list of stuff you wouldn’t need to purchase or have for fall and winter! I would invest in a pair of bean boots
