UPenn ED Countdown

oh boy! i didn't even notice that i was the 1000th post.

well now i'm glad to see that the gap between Penn and Yale narrows, while the gap between Penn and Columbia widens. Yay! let's keep it that way

i wonder if Penn will ever beat yale, harvard, or princeton - or even tie with them- in the rankings

the rankings are kind of irrelevant though. i always come back to that story about the Stanford admissions guy...

heyyyyyyyyyyy!

wow, it's been a while!
i havent posted due to a mixture of
A) ive been insanely busy
b) sometimes i feel like posting on here only makes the time go slower....

hows everyone been?

hmm? what story?

the one about the guy working in Stanford admissions calling up alumni for donations. and his boss saying "even if they donate a dollar our ranking goes up." apparently "number of donating alumni" is a factor in the rankings. meaning if two people at stanford each donate a dollar but one person somewhere else donates a million, stanford is ranked higher.

hey 18! how ya been? (i used to be rennyblue2)

Everyone's been fine...wait, I've been stressing myself to death, so, ummm. I guess, suffering from mental anxiety attack is better than dying...so, I'm fine.

haha so true. i've been fluctuating between confidence and nervous wreck for two weeks now.

have you noticed that this thread has less posts than the OR thread
but twice as many views?

yeah isn't that odd? i guess lurkers want admissions secrets and don't really care whether or not i like Hilary Duff or Lindsay Lohan better lol

mwahaha. what was that this morning about Columbia trailing us by only 200? well now they are 400 posts behind. take THAT.

and yale's beating us by 840. we can DO it! go future quakers, go!

aaand i just realized that i actually was ON cc this morning, and still am. today's saturday, i should be out having fun and not caring about this upcoming friday...but no. and i'm not even doing work, i'm saving it for tomorrow. so tomorrow i wont be able to go out because i preferred to do nothing today lol

lindsay lohan!!!

i'll contribute to the TAKE YALE DOWN effort.
+1 post

aww yay.

i'm not only posting for to beat Yale and to keep in front of Columbia...i also want to get to 200 so i can go do something else lol

shhh. i've been sneaking in posts at what are my chances and other ivy threads (cornell and columbia) and also UCLA and UCBerk.

yeah yale is overrated. i went there for model UN and new haven is so ungodly BORING. i could barely tolerate being there for a weekend and spending a few hours in the supposedly nicest classrooms on campus, let alone living there for 4 years.

hahaha omg. i've posted on the Yale boards a few times and then realized that i meant i was putting yale even FURTHER in the lead. so now i only post on these boards and occasionally cornell.

brown is very close to dartmouth. how sad.

noo, i love Yale! the campus is gorgeous. new haven sucks but still...the atmosphere is just...wow. it's like Penn, to me. PY and Cornell were my favorites of the Ivys

hmm i was there in january when it was freezing as h e l l... so i didnt see the campus in all its beauty i guess. it was covered by several feet of snow. and some yale jackasses started pouring water from their dorm windows onto all the model un kids as we were waiting in line to get into their church or whatever it was. no extreme inviting vibes there.

i think upenn class of 2009 should randomly meet up in philly one day or something... it would be interesting to see what kind of people were gonna be with for four years
