I know that nobody can give “realistic chances” but does anything below stick out as a sore thumb?

School
-3.86 GPA

  • 40/387 (top 11%)
    -from a small, poor town in Missouri
  • half Dutch and half Indian (My mother is from India, Dad is from Namibia)
    -male
    -ACT is 34 (E:35 M:34 R:30 S:35 Writing: 29)
  • Full IB and AP course load (not IB diploma)

Extra-Circulars
-NHS
-Basketball for 2 years
-Soccer for 4 years (captain)
-FBLA state qualifier
-DECA international qualifier (1st at state)
-Tresurer of FBLA (school chapter)
-DECA president (school chapter)
-Eagle Scout
-I have been working 3-4 days a week at a local restaurant for the past 2 years. Currently assistant manager (note I lock up the restaurant and have access to keys)
-also have done volunteer work ~ close to 200 hours

You have average chance. Nothing sore thumb, not much spectacular either. Little weak on academic side. The majority of Wharton students are in top 10%, or even top 5% of their class. For applicants with no hooks, The stats should be comparable to HYPSM. Many Wharton students were also accepted by these schools.
