UPenn Fall 2020 Transfer Thread

I was also confused about this. I assume they may have left the same website code they had for incoming freshman and they forgot to edit that out.

Advice: Make sure your reasons for transferring essays are solid. You’re basically answering the “why this university” question within it.

It seems like everyone is getting accepted left and right
This is honestly so disappointing. I didn’t think Penn admissions would be this incompetent for this year. smh  My acceptance doesn’t mean much of an achievement

Finally I’ve been trying to find other people in nursing haha! I can’t pm yet

Has anyone heard back with financial aid yet?

@tfs73 more people getting accepted, if that’s the case, doesn’t diminish the quality of the school or who it’s looking for. The percent admitted hasn’t been above 10% in who knows how long; it was 5.9% last year for transfers. It’s a huge achievement regardless.

Nothing back from financial aid yet?

Is there a GM for the admitted?

@SunnyD342 I went to the accepted students webinar yesterday, and they said they’re working on a GroupMe (and a Facebook page, if I’m not mistaken). They should be coming soon, I think.

@ccheriem Nah I haven’t heard back yet. Have you?

Is Penn State University a highly rated school to transfer to UPenn from?

I notitced some folk on here are attempting to transfer from UPenn from North Carolina schools
Does the school necessarily matter that you’re trying to transfer out of from? Does UPenn have certain biases towards certain schools?

@xal123 I’m not sure if anyone else has heard back yet, but I got my financial aid notification on the 21st. Definitely attending!

Also an FYI for anyone who may not know—the 2020-21 Penn student transfer Facebook group is up.

Hey @ccheriem what’s it called? I can’t find it. It’s only showing UPenn Transfers 2019- 2020 and 2018-2019

Hi! For those who’ve committed already, how much was the deposit? I can’t find a specific amount.
