Hey, i am really interested in majoring in economics in Upenn Wharton school. If anyone from Wharton who is majoring in economics give me some advise it would really help.
What exactly do you need help with?
You can’t major in Economics in Wharton. To major in Economics, you must be in Penn’s College of Arts and Sciences. To confuse things, Wharton’s undergraduate degree is called “Bachelor of Science in Economics,” but that’s essentially just the historical name of the degree dating back almost to Wharton’s founding in 1881. In fact, it’s actually a business degree, more akin to the Bachelor of Business Administration that many undergraduate business schools confer than it is to a BA in Economics. Of course, the Wharton undergraduate curriculum DOES include a substantial liberal arts component (up to 40% of one’s classes), but again, you can’t be an Economics major–as that term is generally used today-- in Wharton.
