I intend to study premed bioengineering (UMass is just starting bioeng this fall), obviously Pitt is a better option for this but I am an MA native and would like to stay close to home. Also, does Pitt have good programs outside of science and engineering? UMass is a solid option for a variety of majors (in case I decide science is not for me). In addition, if I wanted to transfer from UMass to BU or NEU would they accept my engineering/science credits? Pitt and UMass have May 1st deadlines so I must decide by tomorrow night, thank you guys.
UPitt is also a very solid option for a lot of majors, especially engineering and pre-med. Don’t try to transfer to a certain school; Pitt is better than UMass and is equal to Northeastern and BU. You’ll do very very well to get a degree from Pitt. It’s an absolutely excellent school.
