<p>Does the essay have to be saved in any particular format? I uploaded mine onto the common app and it said "uploaded successfully", but when I clicked "view document" a weird document came up with all this strange computer language?!?</p>

<p>I saved my document as a regular Microsoft Word 2008. Is that correct?</p>

<p>It should be fine. Are you on common app? When you click view document, it should be a PDF file, but I’ve found that a lot of browsers don’t like the .aspx way they are delivered. It should be fine. If you’re very unsure, save it as the old .doc</p>
