Upper Division English classes

Saw a similar thread about upper division Econ classes, so I thought I'd post an English one.

I'm starting to get a bit nervous about them. I've only taken some 200 classes at my CC. If anyone has taken upper div English classes at a UC, how much tougher are they than AP classes in high school/200 level classes at CC? What about higher-level English classes at Davis specifically? Any suggestions on how to prepare? Thanks.

Someone talking about Cal courses said this was the English Major’s bible…[Amazon.com: The Norton Anthology of Theory and Criticism (9780393974294): Vincent B. Leitch, William E.
Thanks! That one specifically or Norton Anthologies in general(I have a couple)?

After reading the reviews, I think I’m definitely going to get this one and spend some time reading it this summer. I have absolutely nothing to do until move-in day, which is mid-September. Yay!
