I started out with a 93.4% gpa freshman year, 97.5% sophomore year, and I’m on track for a 99% junior year. The 93 is obviously bringing down my overall gpa but will colleges look more at the most recent years since they’re so different?
The later years are weighted more heavily at pretty much every college. Also, an upward trend is almost always a good sign! Best of luck!
A 93 is not a bad grade at all. That is absurd.
@lostaccount I know it’s not bad but it’s not a good representation of what I can do. My school isn’t extremely “competitive” as everyone else on cc’s schools seem to be so I feel that I would really need top grades for a top college. I had I think 3 Bs freshman year and none any other year. It wasn’t my best and I really want colleges to be able to see that.
I wish I had a pure upward trend from Freshman year, rather than a slight dip followed by an exponential curve.
Regardless, of all the years, Freshman year is given the least weight, and will most likely not be the deciding factor.
