You have no basis for litigation. Go back and read the agreement you signed when registering for the test. They spelled out their policy clearly and you agreed to it. They didn’t say they had to prove any cheating or other misconduct. They said they reserve the right to cancel any score if they so choose, based on certain conditions, which your test apparently met. They don’t have to prove you cheated. Trust me, this would be an unwinnable case. Relax and re-take it. It’s a few hours of a Sat morning. You didn’t cheat so you’ll get a comparable score. All will be fine. One of life’s small injustices…there will be more. Try to roll with the punches.

You know what would be funny .

If he retook and pulled off a score 34-36. lol

^ I hope he does. That would be just epic win.
“His scores were irregular…”
“Make him take it again”
“He just got a 36”
that would be awesome

wouldn’t a 34-36 mean that he did cheat and if he didn’t, he would’ve gtten a higher score on his own. but then again, it will show that a drastic increase is possible…kind of a paradox there…

Well it could show that he studied and is doing better each time he takes it.

Talk to the college you are planning to attend, and see what they would reccommend or require. Explain your situation and tell them that you didn’t actually cheat. Depending on the school and policy, they may not mind the occurance and let you off. Besides, if you got it on the first score, it wouldn’t matter anyway so just cancel the score. ACTs and SATs have one purpose only and that is college admissions, and if you already got it, and its not going to affect that decision, just cancel the scores and forget about it. If you want, you can always fight back and take it to court or something (I don’t really know if that’s possible, but you can find out).

What is the worse that can happen to someone? What is a red-flag?

lol this thread is 6 month old.

The OP definitely cheated: “I did really good.”

-1 English.

Why are u all jumping to the conclusion that he’s innocent and this is an injustice? the kid clearly cheated! 1) he’s not so smart. 2) You have to meet some pretty dam strict criteria to be labeled as cheating by the ACT program. 3) did u read his original post?? any innocent kid would be crying his heart out that he worked so hard and didn’t cheat and the whole thing is a mistake; meanwhile not once did he mention the words that he didn’t cheat.

Lol. How did they know he was in the same room as the other person? When I took it yesterday, they just had kids in line and filled each room to capacity and moved the next group to the next room.

Plus, with all of the millions of people taking it, I find it hard to believe they caught this guy cheating unless he copied the whole entire test, if he copied like 1-15, I still don’t think he would get caught. But if the entire test is almost identical of course they’ll get you after looking into the 2 identical people more.

The rules clearly say, that it is forbidden to allow somebody copy your work. So, anyway similar answers is the reason to cancel the score

I took the SAT back in june got my scores sent them out to schools got accepted and now there reviewing my scores in novemebr what do i do?!

don’t you think your question is kind of off topic?
