Hey guys so on the recent ACT I accidentally set my calculator to radian mode instead of degrees mode. How much would this affect my score on non-trigonomentry/ angle conversion problems? IS rad and degree mode basically the same on the calculator except for the angle conversions? THANKS!!!!!!

Your calculator should still find that 1 plus 1 equals 2, whether it’s in degree or radian mode. I can’t be sure because I don’t know the model of your calculator, though.

Degrees and radians are two different units of measurement for angles. Being in degree mode or radian mode will affect any trigonometric calculations that you do, but nothing else.

Here’s what it comes down to- unless you specifically use the sin/cos/sec/csc/tan/cot buttons, it has no effect on the rest of your problems.

Probably didn’t affect your score. I’m sure ACT didn’t try to account for mistakes of having your calculator in the wrong mode. You would know something is wrong if you set it radians because your answer wouldn’t be one of the choices.

aight thnks guysss :)
