**Urgent: Freshman or Transfer?

<p>Hi. I'm hoping..ok...begging for a quick response (didn't realize that I could possibly not be a transfer until tonight...app due VERY Soon). Any help would be much appreciated:</p>

<p>I graduated from HS in May of 2011 with 18 dual credit hours. I am now enrolled in a 4 yr college for the first time (this fall is my first real college semester)and am considering transferring to another college for the spring 2012 semester. Applications are due this month, so my fall 2011 semster grades are still in progress. Would I be considered a freshman or a transfer??? (I WILL have 24 hrs of credits by the start of spring 2012, but obvious don't have the credits at the time of application review). </p>

<p>You still apply as a transfer but they won’t have any college grades to look at. This means they will be closely looking at your high school stuff still.</p>

<p>Each institution sets its own policy about this. If you can’t find the information right on the website, contact the admissions office and ask whether they will consider you a freshman or a transfer applicant based on your profile.</p>
