Urgent grammar question on BB

The revote against Victorianism was perhaps even more marked in poetry than EITHER FICTION OR DRAMA.
1 the same
2 either in fiction or drama
3 in either fiction or drama

I know the original one is wrong but i don't understand what's the difference between 2 and 3.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.

The difference is due to parallelism. The idiomatic phrase, “more…than…” must have parallel strucutres after them. So, “more…in…than in either…” is parallel but #2 is not.

^ That’s correct.

Thanks a lot, I finally get it.

This is random and completely unnecessary, but revolt makes more sense than revote.

2 is incorrect also because of parallelism. “in” follows either but it does not follow “or.” In any event, the placement of “in” is incorrect.
