Urgent Help in my Decision

I have 2 universities Loyola University Maryland, and Villanova University…
Both i receive the same financial aid and scholarship money after all…
I want to major in Business( something related to open my own business and that has logistics)
This are the differences

Loyola University Maryland
I am enrolled in the Business School
I can double major
They will pay for a free one year MBA program.

Villanova University
I am enrolled in Liberal Arts
I can major in Economics and a business minor,

What is a better decision, I know Villanova is very prestigious and has more opportunities then Loyola…
Does the name matter that much, the reputation???

What is a better choice?

I appreciate it, Thanks!

Wasn’t your decision due yesterday? How are you still trying to decide?

It is important to understand that economics and finance are very different majors. Economics is a liberal arts course of study and gets very theoretical at the upper levels. In contrast if you go to an undergraduate business school you will take a business core with introductory classes in subjects such as accounting, finance, IT, marketing etc. and then you will major in one of those disciplines. I’m not saying that one path is better than the other, but they are different. I would take the time to look at the coursework (can be found online) for both a finance and an economics major and see if one path is preferable to you. If you want to study business have you researched the possibility of an internal transfer into the Villanova b-school?

And yes, weren’t decisions due yesterday?

Does the reputation make that big of a difference when graduating?
Is loyola that far from Villanova?
