<p>I wrote a huge paper on mathematics and I really want them to understand that I wrote on a difficult topic. Would it be okay if I attach a link to my paper?</p>
<p>You can do that, but realize they might not read it. They only have a certain amount of time to spend on each person’s essays. Also they may not be " math people" so it is possible they won’t understand the content of your attachment. Make sure you are not trying to"impress." They should know from the rest of your application that you are strong in math (ex. awards research). Your common app. essay should show a side of you where your personality comes alive. </p>
