I had a significant doubt regarding the interview section of my CMU application. I did have an interaction with Professor Nikhil Balram, who is indeed an alumni of Carnegie Mellon, so I decided to talk about our interaction in my the optional essay which asks me if I had ever interacted with a campus representative. When I looked up the website, I realized that Professor Balram’s contact was not included in the alumni interview directory. Would this be a problem? I had met him when he came to visit India but I’m not sure whether it was an official alumni interview. Could you please tell me if this meeting qualifies as an alumni interview? Should I be contacting another interviewer? I have already informed Professor Balram that I have written about our interaction in my essay.
Please do reply. I am afraid that this mistake would lead to a rejection
