hey guys,

this is kind of urgent as I only have 1 day to decide whether or not I should drop this course. I would really appreciate if any BME students can advice..

I'm an undergrad (math major) and want to apply to grad schools this fall for biomedical engineering, specifically Tissue engineering. I went to a large state school for 3 yrs for engg but due to severe grade deflation and a bunch of family problems, I transferred out to a smaller university close to my home to pursue math..so I have 3 years of a gpa <3.0 plus 1.5 yrs of a 3.8 gpa once I transferred..

Because of my 3 years of a bad gpa, I feel that grad schools like USC, Penn State, etc won't take me..I feel like I have to prove myself to grad admissions that I can handle the BME coursework so this week I enrolled for a summer class- " Basic Pathology" ..the study of diseases....this course is a Graduate level class so I thought to myself, what a great way to prove to the grad admissions that I can handle their coursework.. but finances are tight and I don't have the luxury to take an unnecessary course unless it will really help for grad school.. my questions: Is Pathology closely related to BME?

I looked at some of the BME grad curriculum and Pathology wasn't in there so I'm wondering now, should I even take this course now? I could be focusing on other imp things this summer like the GRE's, working, etc. I only have 1 day to drop the course so please let me know! Thanks in advance..
