Should I send a SAT II world history score of 620?
Is it too low?
Is it gonna be a negative factor?
Please I need some response ASAP!!

I'm no expert but, please remember that if you are sending any SAT scores the SAT II will go along, no choice. The other point is that I don't believe U of C cares much about SAT II scores. And a third factor is your score-- it will not get you in and certainly NOT keep you out. Please try not to stress over one score, it's a tiny feature in your overall application!
Good luck!

ditto glasses. You can't choose, to begin with, and I don't think that one subject test score is going to be a determining factor.

It doesn't help that the history subject test is bizarre like none other. My brother scored a 4 or a 5 on the US History and scored in the 500's on the US History SAT II

More importantly: how are you as a student in history over the 3 and a half years you've been in high school?

Well I've always had the confidence in History because I really love History..
I've always got A+ or As..
but my concern is that UofC might suspect my school grades due to this sat ii score..
I know the colleges get to see all of my sat scores..but what I wanted to say was that I could have avoided them seeing this one if I decided to not send the december one to colleges at all..
that is, they would only know till my november scores..

First of all, I think it's widely understood that the History SAT II is wacky, like unalove said. I think that U of C would be more likely to be suspicious of the test score than your grades. Students can be expected to have an off test day or a test that just didn't highlight love or understanding of history. Really, a yucky SAT II is NOT what U of C will focus on. Secondly, you clearly are passionate about history and I'll bet that comes through somewhere on your app-- essays or recommendations.

However, if you sent scores prior to the worrisome result, no college would see it.

Grades and rigor of classroom work are more important to Chicago than scores.

Don't worry too much. I got a 620 on the history SAT II, too--and a merit scholarship to the U of C. If I remember correctly, the U of C doesn't even require SAT II scores. I really can't see them counting it against you in any way.

Agreed. I did really poorly on the Math II SAT subject test and also got a merit scholarship. They don't require SAT II scores, so it definitely won't hurt you at all.
