<p>I made a typing error on my commonapp.</p>
<p>I misspelled my name. What should I do? What if the name on my commonapp isn't the same as the transcript or recommendation?</p>

<p>First off, if you supplied your teachers and counselor with the forms that have your Common App ID pre-printed, they'll be pretty easy to match up to your application, so don't worry too much about it.</p>
<p>If commonapp.org won't let you change it, submit a ticket (see the "check here first" thread I just bumped).</p>
<p>If you've already submitted your application with the name misspelled, contact the Admissions Office of each college you applied to and inform them of the discrepancy.</p>
